In the years we have been in business, we have influenced a lot of people's lives, here are just a few of the letters we've received.

Bro. Roland,
We have been all over this past summer and the magazine article you did on us has been a great tool. I didn't know so many folks at dirt tracks, as well as churches, are reading the articles. A friend of mine raced his modified up in Boone, Iowa at the Boone Nationals. He borrowed one of my helmets, and naturally it says the Flying Preacher across the back. He had several folks tell him that they had read the article. He admitted to them that it was a borrowed helmet, however, the point is that the Word of God is being sent all across the nation via Christian Motorsports Magazine. Keep up the good work. Too, thanks for your prayers. Sherrie is out of work temperarily, it cut $3200 a month out of our budget, so pray that the Lord continues to supply our needs til something else opens up. Thanks for your prayers.
Racing for Him, Mike Rucker

Dear CMI, The last couple of issues have been just awesome! Sorry I forgot to order my bulk of the last issue. The card got buried on my computer desk at home. I'm sending this card filled out with my credit card number so you can automatically send me the bulk issues every time. (But please let me know if you decide to go monthly, as I may have to look at the budget then). I'm also renewing my subscription as mine runs out next month. Thanks again for a great magazine. I give most of my bulk issues out to Prison Ministry, but a few go to the "car guys" from our church and everybody loves them. I tell everyone to just "pass them on" so who knows how far God's Word is being spread.
I'll keep praying for your ministry. Robert Russell Ft Worth, TX

Dear CMI, I am an indigent prisoner in administrative segregation here at the Hughes Unit in Gatesville, TX. I was converted to Christ in the spring of 2001 and haven't been the same since. Glory be to God!! Another prisoner's sister periodically sends him a handful of magazines from a bookstore and in the last batch was a copy of CMI.
Being indigent I cannot afford to order a subscription and was wondering if any of your advertisers or CMI itself would consider donating a subscription to me. It would be well read by the few believers that are here and will even be shared with the non-believers as a witnessing tool.
The warden has stopped all chaplain volunteers from visiting in segregation and in effect cut off our access to Christian reading material — at least to those such as myself who have no family to send it to them. I look forward to hearing from you and may God Bless you and your publication. In His Hands, David Hoffman
Gatesville, TX 76597
David's story is one we receive almost daily here at the CMI Search and Rescue headquarters. While the work that this magazine is doing at the tracks and on the streets is legendary, there is a rapidly emerging ministry in the prisons.
We print David's address so you can become his family and write to him. Anyone wishing to contribute to the CMI Prison Rescue Fund on David's or anyone else's behalf send donations to: CMI, PO Box 884, Crowley, TX 76036.

God Only Knows Dear CMI,
Please consider my poem "God Only Knows" for submission in your magazine. As a member of the Public Relations and Marketing Department of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, I am involved with production of our employee newsletter. In the past year, the Medical Center has been involved with Motor Racing Outreach in a rehabilitation/medical care program to be "who the drivers of Winston Cup turn to" in their time of need. An avid NASCAR fan, I wrote this poem in reflection on all the perils that anyone in motorsports faces. Thank you for allowing me to share my piece with you and your readers.
Sincerely,
Tonya Stanley

God Only Knows
By Tonya Stanley
Left to pick up the pieces,
Of what we could not see,
Left to explain the answers,
Of what we find hard to believe,
At such times all that matters is God only knows.
God only knows, though we've tried to explain,
The purpose and meaning behind each scene
Just help us grow in His love; remember that's the key;
To help us walk when we can hardly see,
For God only knows that His plans are best for me.
We cannot see the future or what it has to hold,
Though we try to build upon our hopes and dreams,
Yet our souls can never predict what lies around the bend,
May our prayers prepare us to be faithful to the end,
For God only knows what His hand will give.
God only knows, only He truly understands,
He guides us toward victory, yet the curves He has planned,
He loved us enough that He gave His life for man,
We can be His champion for the race and firmly stand,
For God only knows, He awaits with the greatest victor's crown.

CMI License Plates Dear CMI, I thank you for what you are, and have been doing with Christian Motorsports.
I am a car guy and also a preacher. Cars are in my blood and I know there are people out there that only I can reach. I am happy that cars aren't associated with just bad people. Good Christian people can enjoy them also, and can use them as a ministry tool. Thank you again for keeping Christian Motorsports alive. Chris Reed Chattanooga, TN
Comment: On the dash of Chris's car, featured in the July '02 issue of Car Craft magazine is an original CMI license plate. These plates are collectors' items now. We are in need of (a) sponsor/s so that a new run of plates and decals can be made with our new logo in six colors. Address all interest to CMI, PO Box 884, Crowley, TX 76036.

Department of Correction
Dear CMI,
I would like to thank you for your assistance in providing reading material for the men at the Cummins Unit. Since then, my job has moved to the Varner Correction Facility, just a few miles up the road from Cummins.
There is a constant stream of requests for reading material, as 1500 men are housed here. Our facility is on the verge of opening a new chapel, with dedication services scheduled for March the 20th. We will have a large library space for Bibles, books, magazines, religious reference books (commentaries, concordances, etc.), and audio and video media. We will be starting from the ground up. Should some of your readers have Christian books or other media available for men to use, we would greatly appreciate the donations. I pray that God will bless you in your ministry. Thank you so much for your help. H. E. Triplett Senior Chaplain

Church Motorsports Club
Dear CMI,
Our church is starting a motorsports club of which with God's help I will head in the right direction. On January 18th and 19th, we are having booths set up to encourage people in the different type of ministries of the church, and the motor club is one. I would like to display the different T-shirts, caps and any other CMI info or pamphlets you might have. If you have any other information on other organizations such as RFC, I would appreciate this also. I am also working towards a trailer to take to car shows for a Jesus Corner in 2003. When I get further along I will call you to ask about ways to do this so that it will be successful. You will have a chance to hear my cheerful voice, What more can you ask for! Any help or advice you have to offer would be appreciated. Dick and Pat Kirstein Spokane, WA
